Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Nationals agreed to terms on one-year contracts with catcher Wilson Ramos and right-handed pitcher Craig Stammen on Thursday, avoiding arbitration. Ramos will earn $3.55 million in 2015 after hitting .267 with 11 home runs and 47 RBI in 88 games last season. He has clubbed 46 homers with 173 RBI over his five-year career. Stammen, who signed for $2.25 million for the upcoming season, compiled a 4-5 record with a 3.84 ERA in 49 games out of the bullpen in 2014 for Washington. For his career, the 30-year-old has gone 26-24 with a 3.94 ERA in 224 games over six seasons with the Nationals. The signing of Stammen comes a day after the Nationals sent longtime reliever Tyler Clippard to the Oakland As in exchange for infielder Yunel Escobar.
